"The re-voiced Re-issues are supposed to be a small improvement over the current crop of MIM Re-issue WRHB's but it seems most people aren't as thrilled about them as they could be.
For what it's worth, Lee Ranaldo has a set of Telenator modified WRHB's in one of his Jazzblasters and thinks enough of them to have played them every night on tour since August. "They sound as good if not better than my vintage original WRHB's" says Lee."
"Lee lurks here and on other guitar forums always checking out new stuff. Being the hardcore WRHB fan he is, the infromation popped up. When I began to read about his Jazzblaster sig model, and the reports that customers were displeased with the pickups on such an expensive guitar, I simply contacted him. He was thrilled and totally digs his MOD3 pickups.
We're hoping that more people who own these sig model guitars will take an interest in our pickup mods because, in reality, if you really want Lee's sound, you're not going to get it with the current sig model out there. The pickups sound nothing like the vintage original WRHB's Lee uses in the guitar his sig model is supposed to replicate."
