Thank you for your email. I hope you are well!
We can confirm that serial is correct and relates to a Squier Classic Vibe 50s Stratocaster Maple Neck Black originally sold to Stars Music in Lyon in 2020.
Kindest regards,
D’après certains « spécialistes » des CV sur un autre forum, il s’agirait d’un mix :
« Your serial number actually doesn’t make much sense & it also doesn’t match the date stamp on the neck heel either.
GGR=“China Grand Reward”
C20=March 2020
(000000) is the six individual item number?
That six digit item # really doesn’t make any sense because the lowest six digit item number possible should actually be 000001 for the first one made in that run in March 2020 (C20). There’s not really any such thing as number 000000 so I wonder if that wasn’t just a factory stamping mistake or something like that.
If it came with pickups with a sticker on back that says “STA” then you did get the OEM 1st Series CV Toneriders pickups. Technically if yours had been made to the newer 2nd Series CV specs whether made in China or Indonesia after 2020 it would/should have gotten the Fender Designed A5 pickups instead.
The date on your neck heel (2019-12-2
also doesn’t match the date encoded in the serial number so what I’d assume happened in your case is you got one marked with a 2020 Grand Reward serial number but it was actually a surplus model from earlier in 2019 still made to 1st Series CV specs. Yours was probably one of the last orders of CV models Grand-Reward supplied back in early 2020 they put together from the surplus 1st Series CV parts they still had left at that factory. That’s probably the only reason it has a China 2020 s/n & still came with the 1st Series CV OEM Toneriders pickups. »
