Et les toutes dernières nouvelles de Michael Elsner:
"With day 3 of the Kemper Profiling Sessions behind us, we wanted to give you a quick recap of the day’s events.
Among the amps we’ve profiled today, are a vintage Orange Rockerverb with Mercury Magnetics transformers and a 1965 Fender Deluxe - both of which sound incredible. (check out the photo of the Orange 4x12 mic’d up with 4 Telefunken microphones!).
During the day, a friend stopped by with his mid sixities Silvertone 1481. We didn’t think much of this amp when he walked in the door, but figured ‘why not just mic it up and see what we can get from it.’ This amp is one of our favorite profiles thus far! The tone and vibe from it was just incredible, and the Blue Cactus mic made this little guy sound HUGE!! We also grabbed a profile of it using a Royer R121 - again, another mic that made this amp sound big. Of course the Kemper profiled it flawlessly.
During a break Michael began playing with the profiled sound - adding delays, playing with the gain, EQ, etc., and again the sounds were incredibly inspiring. Our break turned into somewhat of a songwriting session based on this profile alone.
A brief list of other amps profiled include a Bad Cat Tone Cat, Vox AC30, Gibson Goldtone, and various vintage Fenders.
Next up on the profile list are a few Matchless, Mesa Boogies, an ’83 Marshall JCM800, 65 London, and Divided by 13.
