Pour compléter le message précédent du Doc, il y a aussi un post à propos de ce titre sur leur Reddit:
"So the snippet (copyright BandMaid/Pony Canyon obs) above shows something I’ve always found interesting with BM, is that Kanami’s use of time is often pretty cool. In that snip from Sayonakidori (alas I can’t seem to fix the misspelling in the title), the rest of the band is playing 4/4 with a shuffle type feel but Kanami is layering what sounds like a compound rhythm of 3/4, 3/4, 2/4 on top of it. This sounds like this because she’s using 3 beat phrases that are similar leading to a 3/4 feel even if the underlying rhythm is technically 4/4. When I heard this at first I though it was cool and reminds me of some types of Flamenco or Middle Eastern phrasing, especially since she is accenting the last beat rather than the first of each phrase, ie, one two THREE one two THREE one TWO.
And then right after this section it goes into a place where Akane is basically just daring you to try to find the 4/4 count lol. Any normal guitarist trying to play over that would look sideways at Akane and be thinking “what the heck are you doing.” Lol.
Then the song does go to true 3/4 at a later point, but the transition to 4/4 is interesting because the 4/4 section uses the same 3/4 pattern with an added offbeat chord at the end, which also makes you wonder for a bit exactly what time signature you are hearing.
I love the way BM plays with time. Even nominally 4/4 stuff often has things just slightly off beat and syncopated, making it very difficult to really replicate the feel. This also shows up in songs like Onset where parts of it sounds like 5/4. Kanami likes to throw quick time changes in at times for funzy’s.
Just another reason to love this band and the way they reward deep listening."
