VOICI LES REPONSES, enjoy folks !

First of all hi Ron and THANK YOU for this post-tour interview !
Thank YOU! It's a pleasure to do this post-tour / very-pre-next-tour interview.....
I have heard about how hard the band got it by the flu on tour so how are you now ? What about Dennis, Joe and Randy ?
We're all better, but Randy is still a little sick. Worst flu any of us ever experienced...! But I'm sure there's much worse things out there than this, so I won't dare mention it again.
Holy shit, that was the worst fucking flu any of us ever experienced.
Let's get rid of the usual and tedious questions : could you briefly present yourself for the people who do not know you yet ?
OK, here's the usual and tedious answer - lol... "Hi everyone, my name is Bumblefoot, I'm a guitarist singer from around NYC, I play music that sounds kinda like hard rock with a quirkiness to it, some people compare it to Primus, Mr. Bungle / Faith No More, en Frank Zappa, but I think it's more like straight rock-n-roll stuff with some fancy-shmancy guitar noodling. But hey, go to bumblefoot.com and listen to some soundclips and decide for yourself..." How was that?
Your last album , " Normal ", is a real BLAST !!! Could you sum up its concept for the people who have not heard it yet ?
Thank you As Bald Freak (record label) describes it... Normal brings you into the world of an insane musician who takes medication and experiences what it's like to be 'normal' for the first time - but the medicine silences his ability to make music. Eventually he must choose which life he wants. The songs on Normal follow his journey, leaving you to ponder, "What's 'normal,' anyway?"
How was the tour in Europe ? Any special anecdote ? What was the best moment, in your opinion, on that tour ?
The tour was great - it's the people that make it great, seeing old friends, making new ones, ya know? Those are the best moments. So much happens, it's hard to remember it all. Some things I remember - gargling with my own piss to get rid of a sore throat - that lasted about 1.5 seconds before I was dry-heaving - highly recommend NOT doing that. What else... playing tug-of-war with someone's dog and a chunk of wood at the beach by the Mediterranean. Some things I don't remember - OD'ing before one of the gigs on a mix of flu medicines, bashing my head into the mic each night to wake myself up and get in the mood... we managed to drive a good 10,000km's without anyone having to puke or shit on the side of the road - that's pretty good... yeah, touring's glamorous, haha. We had a great time
Do you already have some plans for the future of Bumblefoot ? Your fans are already looking forward your next cd even though Normal has just been released !!
Yes, starting to write the next album. Maybe Mattias Eklundh and I will finally get our Freak-Foot music happening...?
What about producing ? The 24/7 Spyz cd really seems excellent. Are you producing other bands right now ?
Thank you But credit must go to Jimi Hazel - he produced it, I just helped a bit. Slowing down on the producing for a while - want to spend a little more time on my own music.
Here are two question a friend told me to ask you :
- What was the music of sitcom Joboj and you were jamming at during the None Radio broadcast ? ( the one when Joboj said he would have loved being a dustman )
I have noooooooooooooooooooooooo idea! I'd need to go back and listen to 4 hours of it to know... we were just hangin' out making spontaneous noise, no idea what we were doing... lol
-Is there a chance that for some obscure reason you would someday play "Sex with ducks" live ? Laughing
HAHAHA, that song needs to stay buried... (for those that don't know, "Sex With Ducks" was the first instrumental guitar song I wrote, when I was 17...)
I always wondered what was the story behind the French Uncool cover ( the orange one with the guy on the ground )....
It was a guy that just bought oranges and slipped and fell on the ground, with his oranges flying in the air. It's funny, there was a woman waiting to pull into a parking spot where we were taking the pictures and I asked her if she could possibly wait for a few minutes while we took the pictures. When we were finished, I went to her window to apologize for taking so long, thinking she'd be angry. She was laughing so hard, almost in tears, watching the guy fall 20 times tossing oranges in the air. She couldn't even speak. The black bar over the eyes is to hide the identity of the guy who fell, to spare him the embarrassment. I wanted that photo to be a panel of the CD booklet, not the front cover, but the label wanted it... labels suck.
Well, thank you so much Ron for being Ron with us. It was a great moment ! TAKE CARE and I hope to see you soon on tour in France again !!!
And thank you for being you with me! See you soon!!!
