Vers 1983, époque Piece of mind

From GP Nov. '83:
Murray: B/W '57 Strat from Kossoff, MXR 10-band EQ, MXR Phase 90, MXR Pre-Amp and MXR Distortion. Also used a Cry Baby wah, Pete Cornish Splitter box and a Korg Tuner. "I use six stock Marshall 50-Watt heads and Six Marshall 4x12 cabinets with Celestion Speakers. I also have a mesa Boogie combo amp."
Smith: "I'm torn between the Gibson SG Standard and the Ibanez Destroyer II (1981 DT-50 - WOT). THe SG is from about '78. I string these with Dean Markley Super Lights and use Fender medium Picks."
Smith: "I have an Ibanez chorus, Ibanez Tube Screamer and a Korg tuner. I had a few problems with the sound, so I decided to cut out all unnecessary wires. I just bypassed the board and sort of stripped it down. As far as amps, I have four Marshall 50-watt lead heads and four 4 x 12 Marshall speaker cabinets with Celestion speakers."
Good interview from the period of that album. I have another Murray interview from GP. I'll try and dig it out. He goes more into detail about WHAT type of amps they were using back then.

Anyway, Dave Murray has four 50W Marshalls in a rack with a Pete Cornish splitter box and a router for the Cornish pedalboard. This is box #1, seen behind the cabinets at the left of the stage plot. This powers four full stacks of Marshall cabinets: one with Celestions, one with a mix of Celestions and EVs, and and two with EVs. It also says he has a Mesa Boogie combo (60-100W) but it is not shown in the plot.
Adrian Smith's rig is on the far right. He also has a rack with four 50W Marshalls and the Cornish gear (box #12). These power two full stacks of Marshall cabs, all with EV speakers. He is also listed as having a Mesa Boogie 60-100W combo, though it does not appear in the plot.
Steve Harris' bass gear is in the middle on the right, next to Smith's. He also used Marshall 4x12s with EVs. They are powered by Hiwatt preamps into RSD 800B poweramps. These are housed in the two boxes pictured behind his cabs.
