La guitare des rembramdt's froupe qui a fait la BO de Friends elle aussi CS
Fender custom 'Telecoustic' crème electric guitar, serial # 0324, two EMG pickups, with original artwork and signature from artist/painter Denny Dent on back. Together with original Fender hard shell case and letter of authenticity from Phil Solem, scratching, minor losses throughout, good/fair condition.
This guitar was acquired by Phil Solem just before the Rembrandt's 1991 appearance on The Tonight Show. It is a prototype model, built at the Custom Fender Shop by Jay Black. Three years later, he used it to record the jangly, "I'll Be There For You" which became the theme song for the popular NBC sitcom, Friends. Solem said (sic), "I used it to record both the original version and the full length single of "I'll Be There For You," the Friends theme song. It's been around the world several times and has lived through it's fair share of stage antics." During a 1995 performance at a Hard Rock Café opening in Phoenix, Arizona, it was additionally painted by artist Denny Dent. "Denny saw my white guitar and thought it would be an opportunity to be creative. A news crew filmed him in action, whipping colors onto the instrument, while we Rembrandts were joined by Seal and Alice Cooper to witness the act. His painted fingertips and autograph remain on the back." In 1995, "I'll Be There For You" reached number one on Billboard's Adult Contemporary charts.
