LTD means Limited Edition.
I did over 60 LTD Jackson usa guitar runs from 2003-2006
Lots of player at Guitarsite are familiar with those runs.

We getting together here for a Jackson run as well and I wanted to offer a Dean run since I don't think anyone has come here to our community to do this.

And as my guitarsite mates will tell you, I'm partial to this forum

My user name at DF is vwall guitars.

As for ideas I have, I do indeed have some but I want this to be chosen by Guitarsite members and agreed on.
Otherwise I could just do my own run of LTD Deans and offer them world wide. this would be exclusive to France or greater Frenchie players.

First thing is to agree on a model then start getting creative with graphic ideas, hardware colors etc.

Then I will sort the pricing with Dean and take care of other things like having the guitars numbered 1-24, signed if possible by someone important- no guarantee on that and getting certificates of authenticity....

All in all, its a very cool thing.
What are your thoughts??

It's going to be very hard to agree on the same model i thought !!!

therefore
here is the specs of the one i want, dream and love !

body: mahogany, ML body style
neck: set mahogany, V shape , ebony fingerboard, pearl block inlays
hardware: grover tuners, dimebag traction knobs, floyd rose tremelo (or not)
colour: trans black (just like the black gold), pearl white multi ply binding on body and headstock (just like the black gold again), all black hardware

what do think about it ??

Lets get enough people to agree on it all and I can present it to Dean.

I vote also for a ML body if there's a LTD

For the graphic why not all white ? ( like an old Dimebag guitar

But it'll cost too much money I think , because the good thing with the dean limited run is it's not expensive ! The price is the same ( or lower ) than a normal model

I agree with Gargouille_CFH for the neck , body , 22 fretes, and a floyd will be nice ( Dimebag style ! )

I would say a very thin fingerboard, scaloped with the wings of the Dean logo at the 12th ! For the graphic : like the V-Inferno's body but in Purple and=) !!

en demandé trop ( scaloppé le manche etc .. ) n'est pas bon , parcqu'ils vont pas faire du custom shop mais modifier des guitare qui existent deja

Et faut que sa plaize a un maximum de personne ( faut au moins etre 24 jcroi ! ) donc faudrai essayer de faire "soft"

I say that we can't demand too much thing because we are not doing a custom shop guitar but we can modify guitars which are already exist

And we have to do a guitar that can be apreciate by a maximum of personne ( for making this run we have to find 24 personnes ? )


For me now I don't realy know if I will participate to this limited run ( i really want ! ) but with my hard study i don't have a lot of money and time , but I enjoy talking about limited run maybe for making one in some months

it looks like we'll have some problem to get 24 person looking for the same guitar

Do you really need 24 person to agree on the same guitar
or only a few of them would be enough??
Cause i believe there isn't enough dean fans on guitariste.com looking to make such a limited run !!!
If you manage to make a dean limited run on an another website, or anywhere else, i would appreciate if you contact me, i'm really interested in the making of a limited run !!!

HS: And i forgot to say that i would also be interested in a jackson limited run !!!

I don't need to get the entire mass of 24 buyers to make the LTD run, but I do need to secure about 12 or so.
If that has been accomplished , I will make the run.
I fear that Dean is not as strong to make such a run but I must persist.

As for Jackson, yes, like Ribal said- we have a run we are trying to put together over here: Jackson Official guitar

Please come over there and chime in on ideas etc.

I will keep you posted on any news of a Dean run making it into production.

but still interested in a dean ltd run

Les gars je vends ma dean ml en emg + electronique active pa-2 pour seulement 300€. Elle est neuve de 6 mois. Si vous etes intéressées checkez ma signature.

Est-ce que quelqu'un sait s'il est possible de changer tout ce qui est mécanique, électronique et accastillage sur une ML

en fait, ce serait pour passer une black-gold en black-black ...

je me fait pas de souci pour:
les mécaniques
le switch
les micros
la plaque en V (la ou les cordes traversent le corps de la gratte)
la plaque ronde qui entoure jack
les bittonios pour attacher la sangle

ce qui pourrait poser problême:
les trois boutons de potentiomètres (suffit de tirer pour les enlever?)
les deux espèces de plots entre le bridge et le corps (suffit de tirer pour les enlever? bis)
les six espèces de tubes dans le corps qui bloquent les cordes (on les vois sur le dos de la gratte)


est-ce que quelqu'un a déjà tenter l'aventure?
