There might be a lot of Van Halen in your future.
According to the reputable administrator of the Van Halen forum at VHLinks.com, the band has recorded new music that they've been working on for a few years. They'll also head out on a tour in 2018 to celebrate 40 years together and will bring along former bassist Michael Anthony.
Apparently, there is also evidence that the band is currently in their 5150 studio together. This week, singer David Lee Roth was photographed with a fan at a cigar shop in Studio City, California - that's the same neighborhood where the studio is.
As for the tour, Mike has been in contact with the band, which is a recent development since he wasn't even on speaking terms with them before. While nothing is official, there is even a chance that Sammy Hagar might take part in the group's 40th anniversary trek.
Meanwhile, there is a VH box set/compilation package coming, Hagar's albums are being remastered and bassist Wolfgang Van Halen will release his solo album in the spring.
Apparently, all the information has been confirmed, but only by people not wanting to go on the record. Read all about it here.
