Well, I heard from Kevin (manager) that the watermarked copies came in for all of the System Lords, and for the other people that I wanted to have a copy of TSHF.
And there was one “lone copy” in there for a guy that I wanted to listen to it and then see if he could play along to it. It is going to be kinda like a garage band type audition, because I am going to fly over to his house and see if he has got what it takes to play these songs and to play the old stuff.
I had heard back from some of the other players that I was considering and everything was proceeding nicely.
Anyway, I have still been emailing Scott in Anthrax about my initial idea, but kinda cooled on the idea of Exodus and Testament, due to a misunderstanding between them and what I was told, and what it meant, etc. I don’t want to get involved, because I like both bands so, I am out of this.
I also had a good conversation the past few nights with Jeff Waters, and am nearing ‘decision time’ where I pick who I think will be the best for me to play with, and then pick the bands that I think will be the best ‘special guests’ and ‘support.’
So, I am sure by now you are curious who the watermarked copy is for. Ok, it’s for Nick and I am gonna go out to LA or he is going to come out here and show me if he still has got the fire.
In closing, KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED. I think it will be fun to play with Nick again, and that is why I invited him to come home here to all of you Droogs. Now make him feel welcome!
DISCLAIMER: don’t waste your time crossing anything about a bassist or guitarist. I am meeting with Marty in Tokyo next month, but that is merely because I love, respect, and miss him. Although, I am gonna to talk to him about playing again. And for the record, he was interested; he is just hella busy with his J-pop career.
And Jimmie Lee Sloas, the bassist that played on this new Megadeth record, is going to tour with me.
I will let you know how the Menza thingy turns out.

En clair, Ellefson ne fait pas la tournée, pour Marty, Dave va le voir à Tokyo le mois prochain comme il irait voir un pote, mais il va quand même essayer de le convaincre de revenir et d'abandonner sa carrière dans la pop japonaise, et il a envoyé une copie du nouvel album à Nick Menza, pour voir s'il est prêt à jouer les nouvelles chansons et les vieilles.
