Le matos de Pat et Rob sur le dernier Cannibal Corpse:
Citation:
Let’s talk gear, what you use for this album?
Pat: My main amp for the rhythm sound was a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier with a Mesa Boogie 4 x 12 cabinet loaded with EV speakers. They’re [EV] clean sounding speakers so it definitely changed my guitar tone a little bit. I think it changed it for the better as it cleaned it up, without sacrificing any of the gain on the front end. As far as effect pedals go, there really wasn’t any effects except for a little bit of the Metal Zone on the front end to give it some edge. And that was my rhythm tone. For the lead tone, I used an old Marshall cab that was loaded with old 65 watt Celestions. I actually used that same cabinet for everything on our last record. But for this album we wanted something different. I also ran an old Ibanez Tube Screamer through it. My main guitar was the B.C Rich Flying V. But I locked down the Floyd Rose on it so I couldn’t move it, couldn’t pull it down or up, so it was fully locked.
Rob: Like Pat, I ran with a similar setup; a Triple Rectifier with a Metal Zone through a Rectifier 4x12 loaded with E.V speakers that are 300watts a piece and one of Pat's B.C. RICH custom flying Vs.
Pat, are you still using your RAN signature model guitar?
Pat: I only use it for some stuff now. I didn’t really use it at all for this new Cannibal album. I did use it for a couple of guest solos recently, like for Kataklysm’s album and on Jeff Loomis’ solo album on a track called, Rage Against Disaster.
