la confusion viens aussi de l'appellation reissue tous le monde se fais entuber meme encore aujourd'hui

The troubling part for me is that the Classic was UNDER $2000,
and the Reissue was over $4000. Today people ask for, and others pay
the same high price, for both, because very few of us know there was a
difference. Some Dealers
(There are honest Dealers out there, so I don’t want to accuse everyone)
and most Bloggers overlook the differences, and the huge price difference.
They would have you believe that the Classic, Classic Plus, and the Classic
Premium Plus, the Reissue and the R6, are all Reissues. Clearly they are not.
I can’t count the times I have been asked if $3500 was a good price for a
1992 Custom Shop Reissue, and I say yes, that’s the going price for a clean
Reissue, and they show up with a 1992 Classic Plus. Then I have to say, that’s
not a Reissue, $3500 is too much to pay for a Classic Plus. It’s worth $1500.
They say, but the seller said it’s a Reissue. I tell them , “NO, it’s a Classic Plus”,
and they say “Yeah, a Classic Plus Reissue”. “NO, a 1992 Reissue is a 1992
Reissue, and in good condition is worth $3500”. “A 1992 Classic Plus, is a
1992 Classic Plus, and in good condition is worth about $1500”. A 1992
Classic Plus “Reissue” is still worth $1500. Call it what you will.
Now the really hard part.
SOME PEOPLE know what to take off, and what to put on, to make a
Classic Plus LOOK like a Reissue. Many Classic Plus’s get sold as Reissues,
and sell for Reissue money. This has gone a long way to fueling the belief
that there is no difference.

This is all very true, which is why Gibson finally got smart and decided to change the headstock script from "Model" to "Classic".
But, as I said earlier, when a Classic is listed as a "Classic Reissue", technically the seller isn't wrong, but as you said, it's when they are asking RI prices, that makes them look like they are either very ignorant or they are complete a**holes out to rip people off.
BTW, I'm still trying to find that spec sheet. I have hundreds of them to go through, so it might take me awhile.
