qq news de Lynch (on croise les doigts)

Citation:
--The main recordings for the Lynch Mob album are completed:
Basic tracks were recorded in February at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, Ca. This studio was the 1st professional studio George ever recorded in back in 1977. The studio has remained virtually untouched since then and retains all its old school mojo, charm and history. Many great albums have been recorded there (Metallica, Nirvana, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, Rick Springfield, Elvis, Foo Fighters and dozens of others). The basics were recorded live in 4 days.

George was in need of oral surgery and was self-medicating with a combination of whiskey soaked cotton balls and vicodin. He spent a lot of time groaning on the floor in pain! This was all caught on video…very flattering!

The band then moved over to The Office Studio with Brett Chasson and Bob Kulick to finish vocals, bass, percussion, and guitar overdubs. The record is now in the mixing stages and we would hope for an early summer release. The record is tentatively titled "Smoke and Mirrors" and its definitely the follow up to "Wicked Sensation." Oni’s killing it, coming up with the badass, old school melodies and hooks. Scott tore it up on the drums and Marco's a beautiful monster! There’s also at least one instrumental as well.

--Guitar Generations dates may continue in the fall:
George reports that “Going out with Richie Kotzen and Paul Gilbert was pretty intimidating. I faked my way through this whole thing!”

“If this package goes out again in the fall, I’ll be armed and ready. Paul and I shared a drummer (Jeff) and bassist (Mike Sutter) who were amazing. We did some Souls of We songs, Hendrix’s ‘If 6 Was 9’ and the obligatory Mr. Scary/Tooth & Nail medley. Jeff Pilson, Billy Sheehan and Oni Logan joined us onstage at the Hollywood House Of Blues show…packed house…super fun! Paul and Richie are wonderful guys. This was a big fat guitar lesson for me!

--Lynch Mob may tour this summer (stay tuned);
Logistics have begun on a summer tour as George tells us, “We’re all over the map at this point as far as booking our summer dates. We have a new agent as of the 1st of the year, Monterey Talent International. We'll just have to stay tuned until things are confirmed.”

--New ESP/LTD GL-200 series tiger guitar;
ESP just announced that they’re now in guitar center. Alexi Laiho and George just did a photo shoot/video interview at the Hollywood Guitar Center. ESP has also just released the very affordable LTD Tiger 200 Series. George says, “…wish they had guitars that cheap that played that well when i was a kid!”
Randall has also just released the 50-watt Lynch Box with a separate 2x12 cab loaded with the Eminence Lynch Super V speakers.

George said, “I played through it at winter NAMM and it blew me away with lots of thick low end, very chunky and warm. I’m also working on a new module for the 20-watt Lynch Box. We’ve also got the combo and a student sized amp on the way. The Washburn Evil Western acoustic is doing really well...people are loving the playability tone and graphics.”
Listen, smile, agree, and then do whatever the fuck you were gonna do anyway.
