Hi all from Spain, I'm new to this forum. Sorry to writr in english but my knowledge of french is poor to say the least.

Here is my N4, poor man's padauk (N4ESA PSNM)



One year now since I bought it. A very, very comfortable guitar to play. I ordered it with a thinner "C shape" neck and black hardware.

However it has undergone some changes:

- I replaced the L500 by a "Willi Stich" L500. It was a slight change (for better) but this guitar has a big tradeoff. It is light and easy to play,but acoustically it's not very resonant. This week I'm replacing the original SD59/L500 set by a DiMarzio Paf pro/Superdistortion set. I know it sounds like sacrilege, but otherwise it sounds rather thin....

Another thing I don't like (and maybe some of you have already experienced as well), is something wrong with the saddles in the Schaller bridge. Specially the top strings sound somewhat muted and dull. i have another guitar loaded with a Wilkinson vibrato and this doesn't happen, strings ring loud and clear.

Bonjour tous d'Espagne, je suis nouveau à ce forum. Désolé à le writr en anglais mais ma connaissance de Français est pauvre pour dire les mineurs.

Voici mon N4, le padauk du pauvre homme (N4ESA PSNM) Un an maintenant puisque je l'ai acheté. Très, guitare très confortable à jouer. Je l'ai commandée avec un diluant matériel de cou et de noir « de forme de C ».

Cependant il a subi quelques changements : - J'ai remplacé le L500 par un « Willi Stich » L500. C'était un léger changement (pour meilleur) mais cette guitare a une grande différence. Il est léger et facile de jouer, mais acoustique elle n'est pas très résonnante. Cette semaine je remplace l'ensemble SD59/L500 original par un DiMarzio Paf pro/ensemble de Superdistortion.

Je sais que cela ressemble à du sacrilege, mais autrement il semble plutôt mince….

Une autre chose que je n'aime pas (et peut-être il ont déjà éprouvé aussi bien), est quelque chose mal avec la selle dans le pont de Schaller. Particulièrement les cordes supérieures retentissent quelque peu amorties et mates. j'ai une autre guitare chargée avec un vibrato de Wilkinson et ceci ne se produit pas, ne ficelle pas l'anneau fort et clair.

Je ne suis pas sûr que même en ayant la traduction il comprenne. Il faudrait lui expliquer toute l'histoire de ton canapé légendaire. Mon anglais est trop mauvais pour cela et je parle même pas de mon espagnol !

Ah, now I understand. You mean the awesome picture of the 6 N4's in the sofa. I wish I could do that too !!!.

That picture was also in the population-1 forum, and one of the reasons I put EMG's in my N4 !!! (that was a bad move)

BTW you can/should write me in french, this is a francophone forum and you shouldn't change . I speak catalan which is somewhat closer to french than to spanish, so at least I'm able to understand.

My other guitars are a Carvin Bolt and an Ovation collector's 1991, so it would be a rather sad canapé picture !!!.
