Donc en détails :
Body and Finish
Made from the classic tonewood combination of carved maple top and one-piece mahogany back, and dressed in a faded nitrocellulose amber “unburst” finish atop a highly figured maple cap, the Collector’s Choice #1 1959 Les Paul Standard embodies the Les Paul owned and played by Gary Moore. Of this limited run, 125 examples will be aged by Tom Murphy to accurately match the original guitar, while the remainder will be treated to Gibson’s VOS process.
Pickups and Electronics
A pair of BurstBucker humbucking pickups accurately replicate the tone and performance of the original PAF pickups in the Collector's Choice #1 ’59 Les Paul, and are installed to replicate the “reverse-phase” center position. These pickups are routed through high-quality CTS pots for volume and tone, with “bumble bee” tone capacitors, and a Switchcraft three-way toggle switch.
Neck, Fingerboard and Headstock
The solid one-piece mahogany neck is carved to an accurate, chunky, rounded ’59 profile and is capped with a rosewood fingerboard with acrylic pearloid trapezoid inlays and 22 medium-jumbo frets. Its headstock is back-angled to the traditional 17 degrees, and the entire appendage is glued into the guitar’s body with a deep-set long neck tenon, a joint known to aid strength and resonance.
Hardware
The Collector's Choice #1 1959 Les Paul Standard features a nickel-plated Tune-o-matic (ABR-1) bridge and stopbar tailpiece, while a set of nickel-plated Sperzel tuners combine an authentic vintage look with efficient modern performance.
