From what I understand Robert has used a fairly similar setup for most of The Cure's career. I know that the Boss pedals are what they've been using for the past few albums at least. Robert has developed a signature 6-string bass sound that has been a Cure staple ever since the Faith album. That's created by going through three pedals: a digital delay and a chorus with a touch of noise gate to cut off the delay. I know that he sets all four knobs on the delay all at 12 o'clock, except for the one on the far right which is set off of 12 o'clock at 800 milliseconds. On the chorus the left hand knob is at ten o'clock and the and the right hand knob is at two o'clock. That's an example of one of The Cure's sounds. On stage Robert uses a pedalboard loaded with Boss pedals: phaser, flanger, digital delay, overdrive, Blues Driver, line driver. During the Bloodflowers tour he stopped having a chorus on the board and just used the built in chorus of his Line 6 amp. So I'm not sure if he's mostly used the Boss Chorus Ensemble or Superchorus more in the past. Other models to look at are the DD-3, OD-3, NS-2, BD-2, PH-2 or any updated versions of these models. Also, as far as amp settings go, Robert always sets things at either 0,5,or 10. He doesn't go anything inbetween. Bass is usually half up, treble is usually full up and presence at half up. Other fx he's used at least within the last five years or so are: Dunlop CryBaby, Korg ToneWorks 411FX, Mesa Boogie V-Twin, Tech 21 SansAmp Classic, Sherman Filter Bank, T.C. Electronic Fireworx and 2290, Eventide H-3500 Ultra-Harmonizer, Yamaha SPX900 and SPX1000, Lexicon PCM 70 and PCM 80, Zoom 505, Studio 1204, and 9050, and (as Robert puts it)"pretty much every Boss pedal ever made". Most of that last stuff is used in the studio.
As far as sounds specifically from the Disintegration album, let me know of particular songs or parts of songs and I'll see if I know.
