Neal Schon

Je suis en train de me re-ecouter le 1er album (excellent) de Bad English ... et putain, Neal Schon il envoie grave ..

Mais je le connais assez mal ... il a joué dans Journée et Hardline, je crois ... qq'un peut me conseiller des albums ? Je trouve (sur Bad English) qu'il fait tres "guitariste de studio" comme style (un jeu ds l'esprit de Lukather ou Dan Huff)

Journey ( assez propre, hard bien fm )
HSAS avec Sammy Hagar
Deux albums ( je crois ) avec Jan Hammer ( Schon & Hammer , c'est original )
Des albums solos comme Electric World par exemple, un double CD qui n'est pas mal du tout.
Ne pas oublier qu'il a commencé à jouer avec Santana dans les années 70.

la reprise de "whiter shade of pale" est superbe...

Il a été découvert très jeune,
par Santana je crois, mais je suis pas très sur,
lors d'un boeuf!
Je trouve que Journey, son principal groupe
a assez mal vieilli, tout comme les Night Rangers
et assimilé!
Un super son par contre, un peu l'ancetre de Lukather
ou Trevor Rabin!
Je préfére Boston dans le genre Big Rock,
peut-être parce que + kitch!

NEAL SCHON AND JEFF SCOTT SOTO FRONT NEW SUPER-PROJECT:

Guitarist Neal Schon has recruited vocalist Jeff Scott Soto for a brand new supergroup project.
The as yet unnamed band are right in the middle of writing and recording tracks which will be shopped to prospective record labels over the coming weeks.
The line-up was born out of the demise of the Planet Us project which featured vocalist Sammy Hagar. Featured in the project are: Jeff Scott Soto (vocals), Neal Schon (guitars), Deen Castronovo (drums) and Marco Mendoza (bass).
Jeff had this to say to me about the project - "Things are going beyond well here. The talent is ridiculous in this line-up. I'm working my ass off!"
And Neal is equally excited. He added: "We are working on some of my song's and it is sounding very cool to say the least. I've got some great new stuff coming."

En ce moment il fait quoi de beau?

J'ai acheté il y a un an, un CD Tribute to Les Paul, et Neil participait dans une des chansons avec la chanteuse Beth Boutcher, en lead guitare! La fusion entre les deux était exceptionelle, entre la voix de Beth et la guitare de Neil!!! Si tu as une chance de le trouver, achete le, car ce CD vaut vraiment la peine

Il tourne avec Journey.
Enfin, aujord'hui même, je n'en sais rien, mais cette année, c'est ce qu'il a fait.

Un gratteux très mélodique, son jeu me fait énormément penser a celui de Lukather !

Dans Journey, presque chaque solo est une perle. Dommage que ce groupe est inconnu en France, par contre il a l'air relativement énorme aux Etats Unis.

Vous vouliez savoir ce que faisait Schon ces derniers temps ?
Et bien il faisait comme nous, il passait son temps sur Internet, et sur Youtube en particulier.
