Hi,
John's off today and has asked me to step in and answer your questions.
With CITES regulations, you are not permitted to export rosewood, without a CITES certificate. This can take around 4 weeks to apply for, and will cost £75. In current regulations, you can freely travel with up to 10kg of rosewood, but there is a grey area if you are travelling to buy or sell an instrument containing rosewood.
