Vds Fender Custom Shop MVP Series 1960 Stratocaster NOS - Masterbuilt John Cruz - Sonic Blue. Prix de vente : 5400e
Achetée neuve à Make N’ Music (Chicago) en février 2018. Vendue cause doublon avec une autre strat Cruz 60 MVP. (Bien que légèrement différentes, elles sont tout de même trop proches et j’ai besoin de financement pour un projet d’ampli).
Que dire d’autre qu’elle est neuve, qu’elle est magnifique et hyper résonnante. La finition NOS (New Old Stock) est rare chez John Cruz, plus habitué à du relic ou heavy relic. Mais sa sélection de bois est bien là! Et ses finitions impeccables aussi : la finition des frettes (6105) est parfaite et bien qu’elle soit NOS, le rolling est admirablement exécuté : la prise en main est parfaite! Le grain et les veinures du manche sont juste hallucinants : le quarter sawn est sublime et les veinures sont parallèles sur toute la longueur du manche! La touche est hyper dark avec des petits reflets rouges par endroits… Du grand John Cruz!
Au niveau des sonorités : le grain est très riche, les harmoniques sonnent à tous les étages. Profonde et tranchante grâce au slab board et aux micros Cruz parfaitement adaptés, elle dispose de plus d’une position de plus que les 5 du sélecteur qui permet un blend des micros aigu et grave… Du lourd!
Bien sûr elle est accompagnée de ses COA (il y en a 2 car c’est une MVP commandée par Teddy Gordon et masterbuildée par John Cruz), de son étui d’origine et de tous ses goodies.
Possibilité d’échange seulement avec une Masterbuilt John Cruz de 55 à 58, datant de 2016 au maximum, touche érable et finition NOS, journeyman, relic ou heavy relic selon appréciation…
Pas d’échange avec fender telecaster, gibson les paul, sg, 335, prs, taylor, martin, two rock, santa cruz, bad cat, ...

The Vintage Fender Strat- REDEFINED! This 60 Stratocaster NOS is part of the Master Vintage Players Series (MVP) Limited Edition run, Masterbuilt by John Cruz, exclusively for Make’n Music in the Fender Custom Shop!!! These special instruments are custom designed to offer the Ultimate in Tone, Playability and Feel. Each guitar is hand-made to our specs in order to give the vibe and look of an actual vintage instrument, but with all the conveniences of a true modern player’s piece. This particular guitar is built to modified early 60s Strat specs and has a very special, New Old Stock (NOS) finish package. Thin, hard, nitrocellulose lacquer on the body, along with a mint pickguard and aged white plastic parts, gives these instruments a rich, elegant look while the gunstock oil finish on the back of the neck provides a silky smooth feel - all while allowing the wood to breathe and age gracefully.
The Fender Custom Shop Master Vintage Player Series Strats and Teles may look and feel like actual vintage guitars, but they play like a dream. Easier chording, faster leads and no fretting out when you go for the big bends thanks to a 1&11/16’ nut width, flatter 9.5’ fingerboard radius and 6105 fret wire. Adjustments are a breeze too! The Truss Rod is accessible from the headstock, so you no longer have to remove the neck for a tweak. These guitars also have an ultra-comfy, Custom Mid 60’s C neck profile. At .850’ - .950’ it’s a handful, but not obnoxious. Perfectly shaped to fit in any size hands. Another nifty feature is the push button switch hidden discretely in the center of the volume knob. When activated this puts the neck / bridge pickup combination at your fingertips for all those Jimmy Page / Ritchie Blackmore type tones. Even a bit of Tele flavor. Of course all the classic Stratocaster sounds you know and love are still there too. Right where they should be.
